Saturday 13th September
Andy Tait was not only a great friend to many drivers but also a true supporter of KOOR, a passionate motorsport enthusiast, and a familiar face at Lydden, Angmering, Ringwood, and countless other tracks.
On Saturday 13th September, we will come together for a one-off memorial meeting to celebrate Andy’s life and remember him — along with all those we have sadly lost within our racing family.
This special meeting will also include a tribute to Bob West (Outlaw Hotrod 17).
💠 Guest drivers are warmly welcome.
💠 Trophies and awards are kindly sponsored by “The Friends of Andy Tait.”
If you would like to support by contributing towards the trophies, donations can be made through the GoFundMe link below. Please note that donations will close on 7th September.

The Lydden Thunder 650
24th-25th August

Price from £10
Watch the finest Oval racers take to the track in this two day spectacular!
The Lydden Thunder 650 will be making its second appearance on the Lydden Hill calendar, celebrating some of the best oval racing has to offer with racing from the Kent Outlaw Oval Club, National Outlaws, European Late Model ASCAR Series, ProGrand UK series, and more!
The Kent Outlaws are regular visitors to the circuit, with Lydden Hill as their home track – making use of the fastest oval in the UK! They bring several formulas to the event, offering a unique brand of exciting, close-quarters racing that often flies under the radar.
The European Late Model Series is a returning favourite from the Custom Cup of years gone by. Running powerful V8 ASCAR machines (similar to American NASCARs), these drivers will race the oval in the opposite direction to everyone else, adding a fresh dynamic and serious pace to the day.
We’re also excited to welcome the ProGrand UK Series, running demonstration races throughout the event. These purpose-built machines are designed for oval performance and could be a more regular feature at Lydden in 2025.

With the end of the 2024 season we at Kent Outlaw Oval Racing had our presentation night to celebrate the winners as well as some special awards organized by our Mini rod drivers. This presentation evening was open to all our drivers including their friends and family and oh what a night it was.
As well as great company, food and drink we were blessed with some snow which presented to some of the KOOR members and drivers to have an impromptu snowball fight.
We would like to thank everyone for coming to the evening and look forward to see you all in the 2025 season.
